Meet Pakistani Journalist who was portrayed by Nawazuddin in Bajrangi Bhaijaan

In Salman Bhai’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, director Kabir Khan has compiled various real stories and made one of the block buster’s movies for audiences. In the movie, other than Salman Bhai’s heart touching performance and little girl Harshani Malhotra’s (Munni) super sweet role, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s, acting as a Pakistani reporter was mind blowing. And guess what? Kabir was inspired from a real person named Chand Nawab, (Pakistani reporter). This was actually happened six years ago, when real Chand Nawab (Pakistani journalist) was trying to finish his news at Karachi railway station with his friend camera man, and his that silly shot was posted by his colleagues became an internet rage. And Kabir Khan used the same sequence in the movie to introduce Nawazuddin’s character Chand Nawab.
In an interview to Hindustan Times, Nawab said “I want to thank (director) Kabir Khan, Salman Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the way they portrayed me and Pakistan in the film. Nawazuddin has done a good role,”. Nawab also told that he started receiving job offers and roles in tv commercials from various TV channels and companies after release of the film.
