Cancer-struck Music Composer Aadesh Shrivastava Passes Away
The renowned music composer, Aadesh Shrivastava is no more with us. The music maestro was struggling with cancer and his treatment was going on in the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Andheri for 40 days. Aadesh was 51. The hospital authorities confirmed his death at 12:30 a.m. and officially revealed the sad news.
Aadesh was undergoing chemotherapy since past few days but he was not responding to it. The doctors were left with no option but to stop chemotherapy. They said they did their best and Shrivastava was fighting bravely with it. Aadesh was diagnosed with cancer five years ago too, which showed up its worst face again recently.
Aadesh has composed music for more than 100 films in his career that included Bollywood hits like Baghbaan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Rajneeti and Chalte Chalte. Among others, his popular songs were Kya ada kya jalwe tere Paro, Haathon mein aa gaya jo kal, Sona sona, Shava shava, Gustakhiyaan, Gur nalon ishq mitha, Mora Piya. Besides this, he was the judge on the famous reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2005 and 2009.
Composer lalit Pandit conveyed, “Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) has been keeping a check on his health regularly over phone. He has been very helpful. Besides, Shah Rukh Khan had come to visit him too. Tina Ambani has visited him twice and she is also taking special care. People from the music industry like Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan also have been visiting him regularly. Shekar Kapur, Govind Nihalani, Poonam Dhillon and others had come to see him too.”
