Jaipur: Thursday late night, Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan jolted with an earthquake of 4.4 magnitude. The tremor struck at 11:27 pm, which was generated from the epicentre in Sikar at a depth of 10 kilometres.
According to the reports, the tremor was noticeable and it made people come out of their homes in Jaipur and many other cities of Rajasthan, following the tremor. However, any casualty or damage of property has not been reported yet.
The city of the epicentre, Sikar, is located around 100 km from the state capital Jaipur. Also, Jaipur is considered as a low-risk zone as it lies in Seismic Zone 2.
