Motorola has officially launched its much awaited smartphone Moto X Play at Rs. 18,499 for the 16 GB variant and Rs. 19,999 for the 32 GB variant. The sale has already commenced at Motorola’s official retail partner Flipkart from Monday Midnight. Like other launches, the company, this time has also given numerous launch offers with the phone.
Moto X Play comes loaded with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. The eye soothing display of this phone stands at 1080×1920 with 5.5 inches full High Definition screen. For protection, the screen has been guarded with Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone is powered by a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor with 2GB of RAM. The main highlight of Moto X Play is its camera. The rear gets a 21 megapixel camera with Colour correlated temperature flash along with dual LED flash. Besides this, the front end receives a 5 megapixel camera too to support the basic selfie needs.
Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola India, added that the Moto X (Gen 2) will be slowly phased out in the country. He said that Moto G 3rd Gen is the fastest selling phone on Flipkart, and has thus far “selling 40 percent more than previous models.” The company’s Care on Wheels after-sales service program, currently only available in Delhi NCR, is also coming to Bengaluru and Mumbai soon.
