Indian racer Rajini Krishnan has won the Pirelli Malaysian Superbike Championship at the Sepang International Circuit of Kuala Lumpur. Despite the valiant performance of Malaysia’s former Moto2 rider Muhammad Zaqhwan Zaidi, K Rajini managed to grab the overall title.
The Indian Rider used Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R against the faster Honda CBR 1000RR of Muhammad Zaidi. However, K Rajini decided to ride smart and followed him and succeed to achieve the crown with 143 points, 3 more than Zaidi.
“Actually, I did not push the bike to the max. Zaqhwan has the faster bike and I had to ride smart and just follow him to make sure to collect the championship points to win the overall title. With that achieved, we now look forward for next year to defend the crown,” said Rajini.
“This is my third International crown having won the Malaysian Super Series in 150cc in the year 2006, and then the Losail Asian road racing championship in 600cc in 2013,” added Rajini.
Well done K Rajini! we congratulate you on winning Malaysian Superbike Championship and wish you good luck for the future races.
